P.S. Just answering a query raised by several readers in relation to the purple-podded peas: I think they are not as sweet as the other types I have grown, and they are firmer in texture, but they are definitely more productive.

Another thing I want to say: In common with many other people, I am still having trouble posting comments on some other blogs. I do not understand why this is, and it does not seem to follow any discernible pattern. However, just because I don't (can't) leave a comment on your blog it doesn't mean I don't read it. So apologies to all those of you out there for whom interaction with Mark's Veg Plot currently seems like a very one-sided relationship! :-)

As to the comment issues, is it because of word verification?

  8. Some really great photos! Quite artistic. I see you have a flower on your aubergine. I have four thriving plants but no flowers as of yet.
