P.S. Just answering a query raised by several readers in relation to the purple-podded peas: I think they are not as sweet as the other types I have grown, and they are firmer in texture, but they are definitely more productive.
Another thing I want to say: In common with many other people, I am still having trouble posting comments on some other blogs. I do not understand why this is, and it does not seem to follow any discernible pattern. However, just because I don't (can't) leave a comment on your blog it doesn't mean I don't read it. So apologies to all those of you out there for whom interaction with Mark's Veg Plot currently seems like a very one-sided relationship! :-)
Love the shot of the pea tendrils it looks like wire-work.
ReplyDeletewhat lovely pictures!
ReplyDeleteWith being unable to leave comments...I found switching to Google chrome stopped that problem for me.
Beautiful pics Mark. Can't beat a close-up, in my opinion.
ReplyDeleteI dont like peas so i dont have that problem. Though i may grow some purple mangetout next year over a wigwam. Lovely photos.
ReplyDeleteLovely collection of photos, I have always used google chrome for my comments
ReplyDeleteYou have amazing close up ability with your camera. Such lovely photos.
ReplyDeleteAs to the comment issues, is it because of word verification?
I actually use IE Mark and don't have a problem. For soome reason my computer started to refuse to load Google Chrome. I note lots of flowers here are you converting.
ReplyDeleteSome really great photos! Quite artistic. I see you have a flower on your aubergine. I have four thriving plants but no flowers as of yet.
ReplyDeleteThe detail is amazing when you get up close and personal, just goes to show how much the eye misses.
ReplyDeleteThe pea tendril is other-worldly! I hope you get eggplant fruit!
ReplyDeleteRemind me never to let you take my photo!!!
ReplyDeleteThe framing of the brilliant photos really sets them off well. :D
