My harvest this past week has been a small one again, because the emphasis here has been on sowing and planting, not harvesting. All I have to show off is some Purple Sprouting Broccoli and some herbs:
All the above were served in or with a pot-roast Pheasant dish I made on Saturday night. more on this later...
To see what other people have harvested, please visit Harvest Monday over at Daphne's Dandelions.
It might be just a small basket, but it looks so good. And your rosemary looks so good. Rosemary isn't really hardy here, but I plant a hardier variety and it barely survives my winters. It looks pretty tatty right now.
still... a basket full of loveliness... think of the soup!
ReplyDeleteI saw psb in the supermarket over the weekend priced at nearly £2 for a few tatty stems. Needless to say, I left them there.
ReplyDeleteJust a few, but so beautiful and of course tasty. Nice shots.
ReplyDeleteWe are still in winter veg mode but bo doubt that will soon be at an end

ReplyDeleteIt is still nice to harvest something no matter the size, it looks great.
ReplyDeleteMy Purple Sprouting Broccoli never looks as good as your beautiful sprouts. For whatever reason it is always a magnet for aphids.
ReplyDeletePot roast pheasant. That sounds very good.
ReplyDeleteVery beautiful -- it looks like a Dutch still life painting.
