Autumn evening sunlight

At this time of the year the late afternoon light on a sunny day is just lovely! These photos were taken at about 5 p.m. at the end of a beautiful warm sunny classic Autumn day.

French bean "Amethyst"

Rose

Geranium

Blueberry

Calendula

Climbing bean "Cobra"

Dogwood

Beetroot "Burpee's Golden"

I'm not writing much today. I think the pictures speak for themselves.

  1. Lovely shots, Mark. Some great light/shadow interplay on the first two shots, and the texture of the blueberry leaf is superb.

  8. Lovely light conditions Mark! I'll have to have a go. My evening shots are usually just because I forgot to take a photo earlier!

  10. Landscape photographers tend to shoot in the early morning or evening and I get why looking at these the lighting is fabulous. My favs are the bean shots.

  11. The calendula really picks up the light, but aren't the colours of the blueberry just stunning at this time of year? Mine are just the same.

  13. I would so much like a blueberry for its autumn colour. I nearly bought two - then realised I didn't have space for one!
