Don't experience BER often anymore. Used these 2 additives when I had an "in-ground" garden here, and they also worked reliably. We get torrential rains here many years, and if one of these is added, no BER. This year I have regularly sprayed my plants with epsom salts dissolved in water and there is no sign of BER this season, despite the very hot, dry summer. The foliage looks much healthier too. (You can also 'feed' the plant roots with the epsom salts solution as well as spraying it on the leaves.) Maybe your plot has plenty of available calcium and your garden greenhouse doesn't? I know that certain commercial composts (and growbags) are seriously lacking in this respect.Mark Willishttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04558305122821209520noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3840827850297141825.post-67877765491576281832018-07-29T17:22:47.062+01:002018-07-29T17:22:47.062+01:00I am a bit sceptical regarding the cause of BER. Some years our allotment tomatoes which may be watered less consistently are fine but the garden greenhouse which benefits from a regular watering regime develops BER.Sue Garretthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08164518448098182276noreply@blogger.com
