Otherwise the foliage makes watering VERY hard. A hot summer would be a mixed blessing now that I have an allotment...Janet/Plantaliscioushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15605580157193047780noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3840827850297141825.post-33675160616454336392011-05-15T11:18:47.811+01:002011-05-15T11:18:47.811+01:00Wishful thinking - a good summer - hope so we are ...Wishful thinking - a good summer - hope so we are due one.Sue Garretthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08164518448098182276noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3840827850297141825.post-29995832971879733442011-05-15T10:10:21.785+01:002011-05-15T10:10:21.785+01:00Very clever Mark! And extra big courgette/zuchini become marrows - think i've got that right. Another veg name difference, Americans say eggplant but in the UK we call it aubergine. Hmmm. Wonder which names they use in Australia.Kellihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06263430746482725687noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3840827850297141825.post-46099825111119419792011-05-15T08:16:01.540+01:002011-05-15T08:16:01.540+01:00I use plastic water bottles. Just cut the bottoms off, insert close to your plant with the cut end showing so the neck end is deep in the ground and just pour water in as usual. Cheap, effective and easy.
