I love the look and taste of radicchio but for some reason have not grown it in my garden for several years running now. Your post reminds me what I am missing and I am sure I will find room to tuck a few of them in next year.kitsapFGhttp://www.modernvictorygarden.com/apps/blog/noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3840827850297141825.post-70007950093458119392011-10-17T13:10:56.578+01:002011-10-17T13:10:56.578+01:00Beautiful garden! If I ever manage to finish clearing out my greenhouse I will at least try some lettuce in there this year, up at the allotment I think it is time for the fleece cloches to make their appearance. I will be really interested to see how we both get on, I'm trying Winter Density too. I am all in favour of the bed system. Your salad leaves all look very tempting. You can also grill the radicchio. Cut it in half and put the cut side down on a hot griddle pan, drizzle with good olive oil and maybe even serve with some walnuts and gorgonzola cheese melting on the top, that's one way we eat it here in Italy where these winter salads are used a great deal.
