This year the least productive snap bean in my garden has been the purple pole bean. The purple bush bean was prolific though. I didn't grow a yellow one because I was trying a few new varieties - like the purple pole...

How interesting, my Brokali plants are much bigger than my Brussels Sprouts plants which were started at the same time, just the opposite of the situation in your garden. You've got some really good looking sprouts developing on your plants!Michellehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07812702328134261533noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3840827850297141825.post-26162840259687307402015-09-30T13:40:03.009+01:002015-09-30T13:40:03.009+01:00I think you are right in your "less is more&q...I think you are right in your "less is more" statement. Each year I'm adjusting my spacing on many things, to see if I can find the "perfect" spacing that will give me the best yield. Last year I almost doubled the spacing on my tomatoes & had a bumper crop. This year I tried a different spacing (adding an extra row) & it didn't work out nearly as well - I'll be going back to my old spacing next time round.Margarethttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15949946977793864054noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3840827850297141825.post-43363500747988933212015-09-30T12:19:57.818+01:002015-09-30T12:19:57.818+01:00It looks like you're all set for winter. I've grown them a few times but the yield is always much smaller than the green or purple ones.Johttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17436932004631816039noreply@blogger.com
