But I am getting tired of always having too little or too much salad mix and plan to start growing my own. Since I know very little about salad mixes beyond iceberg lettuce, I copied down what "greens" (and reds) are in the baby spring mix. I was surprised to see "radicchio" among the list. I'm not sure what I thought radicchio was, but I did not realize it was a salad green. lol!! I hope to grow some this year. Thanks for the tips on growing it. Your pictures are lovely.

LynnLynn's Urban Garden Diaryhttp://lynns-garden-diary.blogspot.com/noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3840827850297141825.post-78783358419531713972012-01-10T02:42:34.786+00:002012-01-10T02:42:34.786+00:00I think radichio is a gorgeous plant but a little ...I think radichio is a gorgeous plant but a little bit goes a long way for me. If you sow it in the Spring it will probably bolt before it matures. You can however get other types of Chicory which are intended for Spring sowing if that's what you want.Mark Willishttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04558305122821209520noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3840827850297141825.post-70962380674093460952012-01-09T17:02:35.607+00:002012-01-09T17:02:35.607+00:00Wow thanks for the great information.
