They came round to discuss replacing the fence. They plan to re-do the whole fence, not just the damaged panels, which is good (though I'll have to remove the wires supporting my Raspberry canes!)Mark Willishttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04558305122821209520noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3840827850297141825.post-8826968431612608792012-11-26T15:23:05.841+00:002012-11-26T15:23:05.841+00:00Crumbs, bad luck about your neighbour's fence....Crumbs, bad luck about your neighbour's fence. We seem to have got away without any trampoline's landing in our garden this time :). We're very grateful for our hilltop position when the lower ground starts to flood, though our local lanes are suffering from river-complexes, as the fields are saturated.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3840827850297141825.post-26215910191427876142012-11-26T12:08:38.054+00:002012-11-26T12:08:38.054+00:00I can certainly identify with storm damage!Glad to...I can certainly identify with storm damage!Glad to see it looks like you made out OK. My fence panels, much the same as the ones in the photo, came down last year in the gales we generally get in Jan-Feb. The cost is more in labour to fix it. The amount of rain and flooding in the UK has really been horrendous this year.Kellihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06263430746482725687noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3840827850297141825.post-86329296685211223842012-11-26T01:06:24.413+00:002012-11-26T01:06:24.413+00:00Concrete posts, now that would be interesting. We often buy concrete to put around our posts that go in the ground which is what Phil did when putting in our outdoor swing but for the fence out back we just used pressure treated wood and are hoping that will be ok.
I did notice your neighbor has a nice potted plant and bird feeder.
Un saludoMónicahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09144398241879720662noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3840827850297141825.post-71651301913295891782012-11-25T19:10:03.708+00:002012-11-25T19:10:03.708+00:00Yes; that's what we have. I'm surprised you've had such damage between the two houses, it must act as a wind tunnel.Johttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17436932004631816039noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3840827850297141825.post-89145121571083793632012-11-25T17:33:11.363+00:002012-11-25T17:33:11.363+00:00You would think those would be protected from side...You would think those would be protected from sideways wind sources between two buildings like that.
