He says it's because Monty uses it despite me growing comfrey in the garden for the past few years and doing the same. There is a certain whiff in the garden if the lid isn't replaced correctly. Ah well good stuff never the less. I recall when I used my fish/kelp fertilizer for the first time...phew! It's concentrated so you have to mix it with water and I didn't wear gloves the first time I made a big bucket of it. Big mistake! My hands stank for 2 days afterwards & no amount of washing could get the stink out.
