Some, like the sweet potatoes are of "necessity" as there is no room in the beds, but others like the urn we planted up with poppies is pure pleasure. And that pot/fern combination is gorgeous!Margarethttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15949946977793864054noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3840827850297141825.post-55681499632863749292016-06-23T22:58:36.680+01:002016-06-23T22:58:36.680+01:00Hi Mark...I love planting in pots too. Dont laugh...my great grandsons wet diapers. The gel that absorbs holds water in the pot at the root level. Not for the squeamish, and of course you have to have a baby available, but those disposables are expensive. Might as well give them a new purpose. We also like to use pots to ring seasonal changes too and like you will hide away during summer the ones that have had the spring displays in them.Sue Garretthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08164518448098182276noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3840827850297141825.post-34356184267970384592016-06-23T17:42:28.961+01:002016-06-23T17:42:28.961+01:00You're right Janice. I have less success with Geraniums - about 50% of them grow.Mark Willishttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04558305122821209520noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3840827850297141825.post-49011890267586320682016-06-23T16:39:50.792+01:002016-06-23T16:39:50.792+01:00I think pots are good for some things but not all....I think pots are good for some things but not all.. And for a short period of time. I notice like mints they grow good only the first year. But I have notice you need to clip them back and they most of the time re-do. Same for geraniums but what I do it when the get to leggy looking snap off a piece put it back in the dirt and it helps the plant to get fuller looking.
