I'd heard it's best grown later in the season but yours obviously worked amazingly well planted early. Fingers crossed ours do as well once we have them in the ground, I'll be keeping these ideas for when we're harvesting ours tho! :)Paul and Melaniehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07700796090016266104noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3840827850297141825.post-86795131292598604402011-07-12T14:56:35.413+01:002011-07-12T14:56:35.413+01:00I'd never heard of Daikon before you first men...I'd never heard of Daikon before you first mentioned it.

We definately want to grow it next year, this post is really inspirational.

Thanks for enlightening us.

Martin :0)Martin and Amyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16156539747964207702noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3840827850297141825.post-63966512924793014562011-07-12T12:58:19.122+01:002011-07-12T12:58:19.122+01:00You have to try daikon cake next Mark and stir-fri...You have to try daikon cake next Mark and stir-fried the cake with chili:). Your earlier post on Daikon had me thinking it was something else. You see, though it's a very common vegetable here, I'd never seen the kind of "Boy Daikon" that you had harvested! The common way we have Mooli here is to grate it and add it to curd/yoghurt with a little salt. This is called "raita" and helps to balance an otherwise spicy hot Indian meal. Another traditional favourite, (a little difficult for the first timer) is "Mooli Paratha" (a kind of flat bread stuffed with grated daikon). Thanks to your experiments, I am going to have Daikon/Mooli differently next time.Anita Kumarhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10902981126493850669noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3840827850297141825.post-58738969531050619532011-07-11T22:34:06.809+01:002011-07-11T22:34:06.809+01:00Hi Mark.
